Pumpkin Patch

It has taken me way too long to get our pictures up from our trip to Geenbluff. So here are a few of the kiddos having a good time. This year everything was behind so apples weren't quite ready, but of course we went up again the next week to insure we had an ample supply :) I just love watching the kids hike through the pumpkin patch hunting for the perfect pumpkin. I asked Noah to sit on one so I could get our annual Noah sitting on a pumpkin pic. The picture I took makes me smile because he is telling me that he is collecting grass (look in his hand) to feed the donkey :) So instead of picking out a pumpkin he was busy collecting donkey food :)

Session with JM

I got the extreme pleasure of photographing this beautiful newborn boy! His name is John Mark and he is one handsome boy! For most of the session this little guy wanted to be awake which was a challenge at times, but apparently baby knows best because he gave us some adorable shots! Congratulations to Jon and Adriane, and welcome to the world John Mark.

Going to the Fair

We had so much fun at the fair this past summer. Dustin's two younger sisters came along and we had a blast. I think the favorite ride of the year was the big balls floating on water :) This year there were a lot of horses and their owners out walking around so the kids really loved that.  We got there a bit late so the kids got to go on rides at night. They let me know that rides at night are awesome and we should definitely go at night again next year! I so remember thinking the same thing when I was a kid :)

Here are a few group shots for you guys. These kids were completely full of energy. It was a bit of a challenge, but I think I captured a little piece of their individual personalities. Enjoy your sneak peek........part 2 :)

Thank you Anne Louise and Stacy for giving me this opportunity to work with your lovely families :) Hope you enjoy your sneak peek :)

More Camping

More camping pics from this past summer. We so missed having Dustin there! Although since he has been working over seas living in almost tent like conditions camping is not something he wants to do these days. These were taken at Riley Creek campground. I really like it there..........except the bird poopy beach :(  So quick story : I had just bought Wyatt a pair of Keen sandals, yes they are a little pricey. So we were standing on the dock and I look over to see one of his sandals floating down the river :( Of course I swam out to it.........in my clothes...........and I spaced taking my flip flops off :( So..........I had to swim back to shore with flip flops in one hand and Keens in the other hand. Mind you I am not a great swimmer..........and there was a dam down stream so there was a bit of a current. At one point I was feeling a bit tired and I looked to shore and thought boy none of those guys are going to be able to save me (I was looking at 2 50+ women with health problems and a group of very young kids).  Then I kicked it into high gear and made it to shore. Lesson learned.............a Keen shoe may not be worth it............and remember to remove your flip flops before rescuing a shoe in the water :)

Picking Strawberries

Even though the berries were late we made sure to go pick strawberries this year. The past couple of years didn't work out for us to go. Of course most of the boys strawberries were eaten and never made their way into the flats. Oops totally did not get any pictures of Wyatt :) My mom ended up taking him to a shady area because it was pretty hot that day. We made a lot of freezer jam..........woot woot! There was still plenty left over for our smoothies and to make pancakes with strawberries and syrup....yum! What a blessing it is to be able to enjoy these things with the family. Gods every day little blessing are sometimes the best ones!

Noah turns 4

The photo above taken by jadeanbakerphotography.com

Ahh if only words could contain the joy I have over being blessed with Noah! So here goes a story for you all.......just a little piece of how God has blessed us.

We had been married for 8 1/2 awesome years but had not been able to have children. It was one of those unexplained infertility things. I can say emotionally I had my ups and downs, but trusted that God had a plan for us. Of course Dustin being the rock that he is never worried about what our family size looked like. He just had faith that God was in control and whatever happens he is always just counting his blessings. Me maybe a little bit of a roller coaster :) So Dustin got an awesome job opportunity to work in Paris..........yeah baby that is right Paris! We were able to live in Paris for 6 months and that is a whole other story and about 2000 pictures :) December of 2006 we received the good news that I was expecting a baby !!! Couldn't believe that we I was pregnant. If I were a writer maybe I could come up with some great way to state how I felt. It was amazing, I thought that I may never ever get to experience having a baby!
So in September of 2007 we were so blessed to meet our Noah! It was a long 32 hour labor of which 3/4 was without drugs. Come to find out I needed a c-section. But so worth it all! Our first impression
was......look at his hair. Loved the sticky up hair! It has been so much fun raising Noah! He is a very smart high energy boy who only like snuggles when he is hurt or tired. He LOVES people, LOVES books, and LOVES animals! Anyone who knows him can agree to the fact that Noah is always pretending to be an animal. He is not an animal in a cutsie kid way either. He has studied animals and trys to be realistic in his portrayal of the animal he is at the moment. Noah has always loved other kids especially his baby brother Wyatt. He recently informed me that he needs two more Wyatts and an Emma for Wyatt (Emma is his cousin and the only girl).
I could go on for days bragging about our wonderful boy! We are just so blessed and thankful for our fun loving amazing little man!

Summer Camping

These are some pictures from camping this summer. Noah has informed me that in the group photo he was busy picking food for the dog so he could not look at the camera. He always has a reason ;) We were camping at Riley Creek and they had a lot of beautiful vibrant flowers. It was a really nice place to go camping. There was a lot to do even if the weather was not warm, and a super bonus.........hot showers! In the bottom pic Noah is telling me about his day as we sit by the fire in the evening. One of my favorite things about camping is sitting around the camp fire until the late hours of the night :)

Time to Pray

Wyatt usually tells us it's time to pray. What this really means is that he is hungry and really wants something to eat :) Too cute.......at least to this momma! You can see from his little mouth that he is saying pray........I just love it. What a blessing to know that some of the things you try to teach your children start sticking at such a young age. Now if we can keep them learning the good things from us and ignoring our short comings. Now that would be fantastic. And yes I have the constant dilemma of choosing color or black and white............so I just don't choose :)
